In order to reach the power needed for ultrasonic cleaning, it is necessary to apply several PZT elements (at least 48 in Moroni’s systems) on the walls and/or on the tank bottom. These are high-precision elements built with numeric control, to the aim of producing identical pieces with the same resonance frequency of 33.000 Hz. With usage, however, such homogeneous frequency is never achieved: at bench test, each element shows its own resonance frequency, with differences up to 500-600 Hz.
If generators operated at fixed frequency, the labor would not be evenly distributed among the PZT elements, therefore some of them would over-heat and deteriorate.
This is why for each generator we provide a CD-ROM containing a program that measures the system’s effective base frequency, with an adjustable range (sweeping mode) for instance, 1.000 Hz., all the PZT elements work evenly at their own resonance frequency, thus enhancing the power efficiency of the whole system, and the work load is evenly distributed among all the elements. This allows to prolong the life of transducers and allows us to offer a, 5-years guarantee for our PZT elements.
